Latest Update for you all...

This afternoon's meeting went very well. It seems that we are on the right track even though we are a bit behind, but we are pushing forward in getting things completed. The advert looks brilliant, it has turned out even better than i had first anticipated. We just need to sort out the sound and the special effects. The game is really coming along, so well done to Daniel for that. Our main issue is the website as we have left it till last minute so hopefully we can get that done asap. So fingers crossed peeps and hopefully everything won't get too hectic.

Not long now...(danielle)

In our afternoon meeting we were all a bit anxious as to where we had got to with our work, but i can ensure that things are going very very well. After filming parts for the animation on thursday, the group managed to get quite a bit of filming done. To finish filming, we shall be meeting up again on thursday. Basil shall be going home to do the animating of the scenes we have already got. Daniel shall be finishng the game, well the test version for now.
We have also now got a slogan: Kick your day up a notch!
Very catchy indeed :)
That's all for now folks, but we shall be aiming to get this completed by easter.

Update on the ending

Commercial ending:

After leaving the can, Joe, somwhat powered up or more vitalised, does powerful "dtrong-man" pose, then sees people around him and begins to make it look like a shrug,as this happens, the screen fades and the can (3D) will apear, and the words "Rapture: Kick your day up a notch" come up

NAME CHANGE!!!

Today we have decided to change the name of our energy drink as we wanted the target audience to relate to the name of our product. So after much research we have come up with the name RAPTURE. The actual meaning of this is as follows, 'a euphoric transcendent state in which somebody is overwhelmed by happiness or delight and unaware of anything else'. We believe that this is the state in which we think the consumers of our product will feel.

Logo Finished


This is a small version of the logo. The one wrapped around the can will have its legs stretched out a bit more to fit, however.

Joe. Just Joe. (Basil)


"Finalised" design of commercial's main character "A. Joe", who is the spokesman in our commercial. He is nervous and generally pretty intimidated by the board members whom he has to pitch the idea to.

Terms of Reference

  • To finally come up with the idea for what our advert would be like.
  • To begin storyboarding and preparing our pitch.
  • To understand who is doing what.

Rules of Operation

Consideration of assignment

The group need to work together and focus on completeing this assignment to a successful level. We need to work together and actually listen to EVERYONES opinion. The group need to gear up a level and begin to get things done.

Progress reports

  • After being unsuccessful in the two previous weeks, today we need to get our head down and sort things out.

Interactive Media-gaming idea(Danielle)

Daniel has come up with an awesome idea for the interactive media that we need to produce. Basically, it is a mini game, where the gamer will play a maze game. The aim of the game is to get to the meeting on time. The game will be played from a bird's eye view, and the game character has to travel around the office environment to find the boss. The gamer will only be able to see the corridors within the environment but will not be able to see inside the rooms unless they enter them. If they access the wrong room then a three second animation clip will be played but i am unsure as to what that shall be at the moment. Whilst playing the game, the gamer will have to drink our energy to replenish their life bar. When the gamer finally finds the right room for the meeting, then an advert for our drink shall be played.
